Ukrainian Easter egg we purchased in New York's East Village in the late 80s. This little egg has done a lot of traveling--from New York to Boston, where I gave it to my parents, and from Boston to Los Angeles, where it now resides.

Our first "extreme caution" weather alert of the year. I have a couple of Oregon Scientific weather stations, since my allergies and sinuses make me so weather-sensitive, and, in addition to inside and outside temperatures and humidities, barometric pressure, etc., they offer little comments on the weather. Thank goodness (and Motorola) for cell phones! Bob and I went to visit his new office at Cal State LA yesterday, part of the recently constructed Annenberg Sciences Complex on campus, and we got stuck on an outdoor pedestrian bridge between two locked doors! On Saturday, Bob and I went for a ride, with no particular destination, and made some fun discoveries: a shopping plaza "named after" our grandniece Ariana; the lovely old town section of Monrovia, with shops, restaurants, and a real hometown feel; and "Mark Twain"!
